Faro to Vale da Telha

Faro is the nearest airport and it takes only a little over an hour to reach A Good Place Portugal. The easiest and fastest way is to rent a car. If you come on a budget, the shared shuttle bus is a good option too, but it takes longer. If you have plenty of time and enjoy the adventure of public transport this is also an option. We listed your options below.

Rent a car

There are multiple rental car companies, directly at the airport and if booked in advance often pretty cheap ( e.g. Rentalcars.com). Note that the rental company will ask you for a credit card deposit and to buy full insurance. The latest is an option, but be aware that you might already have included that at the broker Rentalcars and totally up to you. Be prepared when they will ask you the question at the pick up.

Taxi Algarve

You can share a taxi from the airport. Costs are approx.

€ 100-125.

Note on Public Transport from Faro: you need to order an Uber taxi to get to the bus or train station. Cost approx € 10,-
The local buses from Faro take 4 hours and you need to change two times.

From Lisbon to the Algarve

There is a direct bus from Lisbon (Sete Rios Bus station) to Aljezur. Duration: 4 hours. From Lisbon (Sete Rios Bus station) you can take the metro to the airport or vice versa. Costs bus ticket: 21€ You must reserve a ticket online at a few days before departure. It will fill up!

In general about the pick ups and check in times for retreats

Since we need time to prepare for the retreat it is not possible to check in earlier than 16. We kindly ask you to respect this time and explore the surroundings. For the pick-ups we need to know one day before the time you are arriving so we can organize everything. We ask for some flexibility in waiting time. We do our best to logistically organize everything well!
